Guide

Getting Started

A step-by-step guide to using the Data Driven Models platform.

1

Request Access

Click Request Access and fill in your name, email, institution, and desired access level. An administrator will review and approve your account, typically within 1–2 business days.

2

Once approved, sign in with your email and password. You'll see your assigned role in the navigation bar. Different roles unlock different features (see below).

3

Explore Project Data

Go to Data Explorer and select your project. Browse datasets organised by category — material data, simulation results, ANN models, and more. Download files directly to your local machine.

4

Use Interactive Apps

Go to Apps to access deployed ML models. Enter material properties and get instant quality predictions with GREEN/YELLOW/RED traffic light status and SHAP explanations showing which inputs drive the result.

5

Read Research Publications

Visit the Research page to browse published papers, conference proceedings, and demo videos from all projects. Download PDFs and follow DOI links to external publishers.

FAQ

Common Questions

How long does account approval take?
Typically 1–2 business days. You'll receive an email when approved.
Can I access data from multiple projects?
Yes — admins can grant you access to any project. Contact us if you need access to additional projects.
What file formats are available for download?
Most datasets are in Excel (.xlsx), CSV, or JSON format. ML models are Python pickle (.pkl) files with metadata in JSON.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All connections use HTTPS. Authentication is session-based with password hashing. Role-based access control ensures you only see data you're authorised for.
Who do I contact for help?
Use the Contact page or email the platform administrator directly.
